Mr. Alvin Quah (Certified Behavioural
Analyst in Business Consulting Perspectives)
Alvin’s strong fervour
for helping people accept their differences and collaborate to achieve common
goals led him to venture into a professional training career, where he can
continually and fuel this passion.
To date, Alvin has conducted
teambuilding and training sessions in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia &
Hong Kong, for various organisations, with group sizes ranging from 5 to 300
participants per session. His vast experience is garnered from working with
participants in diverse positions, from executives to senior managers in MNCs,
including expatriates. Alvin had the opportunity to train with an extensive
range of clients, including, Agilent Technologies, APEC Secretariat (Asia
Pacific Economic Cooperation), Citibank, General Electric, Lenovo, Siemens
and SSMC.
With his dedicated team of like-minded
co-workers, Alvin has developed indoor teambuilding games and outdoor teambuilding
activities, which are immensely popular with and well received by corporations
like Citibank and Hewlett Packard, and Singapore government agencies like
Civil Service College and the Ministry of Defence. Training topics covered
include leadership, teamwork, creative thinking, effective communication,
and DISC personality styles.
Besides holding a Bachelor of
Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Alvin
has been conferred the Certified
Behavioural Consultant (Level 1) and Certified
Behavioural Analyst(Level 2) by the world’s largest publisher of
customised behavioural and motivational resources, The Institute for Motivational
Living, Inc. As such, he is fully qualified and authorised to administer,
score and interpret the profile instruments of The Personality System™
in the provision of consulting, of training and general counsel. His expertise
in behavioural analysis renders him the ability to help others maximise strengths
and minimise weaknesses, enhance communication and relationships, and develop
focused and motivated teams.
He has also conducted DISC workshops for senior managers, supervisors and
rank and file staff.
Alvin's informal approach during
teambuilding and training sessions allows participants to relax and shed their
inhibitions. His methodology of experiential learning further instils the
intended learning values, so participants take away a richer and more gratifying
retrospection of the teambuilding session.
